Preamble: We, the members of the American Constitution Party (ACP), affirm our dedication to preserving the principles of liberty, integrity, community, and happiness as articulated in the founding vision of the United States. Our mission is to unite Americans under a common banner of equitable governance, forward-thinking policies, and respect for diverse perspectives, ensuring prosperity and opportunity for future generations.
Article I: Name and Purpose
Section 1. Name The name of this organization shall be the "American Constitution Party" (ACP).
Section 2. Purpose The purpose of the ACP is to:
1. Promote liberty by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.
2. Uphold integrity in governance through transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership.
3. Strengthen community by fostering unity among diverse populations.
4. Pursue happiness for all citizens through equitable economic, environmental, and social policies.
Article II: Principles and Goals
Section 1. Principles The ACP is guided by the following principles:
1. Traditionalist and Futurist Balance: Honoring American traditions while embracing technological and scientific advancements.
2. Equity and Opportunity: Ensuring fair access to resources and opportunities for all citizens.
3. Sustainability: Protecting natural resources and addressing climate change to secure future prosperity.
4. Civic Engagement: Encouraging active participation in democracy through voter education and representation.
Section 2. Goals The ACP aims to:
1. Implement Social Security reforms ensuring long-term solvency and fairness.
2. Advocate for renewable energy and sustainable resource management.
3. Support reproductive rights and family well-being through comprehensive policies.
4. Restore media accountability and promote balanced reporting.
5. Foster job creation and redefine worker value within corporate frameworks.
Article III: Membership
Section 1. Eligibility Membership is open to all U.S. citizens who:
1. Agree with the principles and goals of the ACP.
2. Commit to supporting its mission through active engagement or financial contributions.
Section 2. Rights and Responsibilities
1. Members have the right to:
o Vote on party matters.
o Run for leadership positions.
o Participate in ACP-sponsored events and initiatives.
2. Members are responsible for:
o Upholding the party’s values and ethics.
o Respecting the diversity and opinions of fellow members.
o Contributing to the party’s growth through advocacy and volunteerism.
Article IV: Organizational Structure
Section 1. Leadership
1. National Chairperson: Oversees party operations, represents the ACP nationally, and ensures alignment with its mission.
2. Vice Chairperson: Supports the Chairperson and oversees regional initiatives.
3. Treasurer: Manages party finances, ensuring transparency and compliance with federal regulations.
4. Secretary: Maintains records of meetings, decisions, and member communications.
Section 2. Committees
1. Policy Committee: Develops and reviews policy proposals.
2. Communications Committee: Manages public relations and social media outreach.
3. Fundraising Committee: Oversees financial contributions and donor relations.
4. Membership Committee: Recruits and engages new members.
Section 3. Local Chapters
1. Local chapters shall be established in states and regions to:
o Represent the ACP at grassroots levels.
o Organize events, rallies, and educational programs.
o Recruit members and promote ACP policies.
Article V: Decision-Making and Governance
Section 1. General Assembly
1. The General Assembly, comprising all members, shall:
o Elect national leadership.
o Approve major policy platforms.
o Amend the charter as needed.
Section 2. Voting
1. Decisions shall be made by a majority vote unless otherwise specified.
2. Voting may occur in person, online, or via mail to ensure maximum participation.
Article VI: Financial Management
Section 1. Fundraising
1. The ACP shall raise funds through:
o Membership dues.
o Donations from individuals and organizations.
o Fundraising events and merchandise sales.
Section 2. Financial Oversight
1. All financial activities shall comply with federal and state laws.
2. The Treasurer shall provide quarterly financial reports to the General Assembly.
3. An annual independent audit shall ensure fiscal responsibility.
Article VII: Ethical Standards
Section 1. Code of Conduct
1. All members and leaders shall:
o Act with integrity and respect.
o Avoid conflicts of interest.
o Promote inclusivity and diversity.
Section 2. Accountability
1. Members found in violation of the Code of Conduct may face disciplinary actions, including suspension or removal.
Article VIII: Amendments
Section 1. Amendment Process
1. Amendments to this charter may be proposed by any member.
2. Proposed amendments must be reviewed by the Policy Committee and approved by a two-thirds vote of the General Assembly.
Article IX: Dissolution
Section 1. Dissolution Clause
1. In the event of dissolution, all assets shall be donated to nonpartisan organizations aligned with the ACP’s values.
Adoption: This Charter of the American Constitution Party is adopted on this day, December 20, 2024 by the founding members, to serve as the guiding document for its mission and operations.
